Spy Sweeper is one of the programs that we have strongly recommended on this website, and despite the fact that a lot of well known sources claim it's a great program, we're going to review it too.
The time comes to face Spy Sweeper's interface for the first time ...
The main window of the program is a skinned one, and you can't change its looks, so what Vista users see isn't different from the view of the application in Windows XP. There are six items in the menu to the left - Home, Sweep, Shields, Quarantine, Options and Alerts. Every feature is where it should be, and most of them are two clicks away.
Here's how Spy Sweeper performed, compared to other 6 popular antispyware programs:

When talking about this program's features and usage, best thing to do is look back at our article about what to look for in an antispyware software. In that article, there was a section called "Must Have" Features, and Spy Sweeper has all of those, and even some extras...
At this time, my computer that runs Spy Sweeper is protected against almost 175,000 threats, but the real time protection offered by this program takes care of my hosts file, browser settings and even checks the email attachments.
A system scan in full mode can require a serious amount of time, because all items loaded in memory, registry, and the files and folders on your hard drive, including archives, are being scanned. As usual, we recommend you to perform such a scan after installing the program. The only problem with the shareware version of the program is that you won't be able to clean the threats found... but your money will be wisely spent on this program!
Spy Sweeper is easy to use, it’s fast and looks good. Its database contains almost 175,000 threats at this time, its feature list is impressive, and while your computer is continuously under its watchful eye, you won't even feel it – a lot of antispyware and antivirus programs use a lot of system resources and will slow down your computer; we can’t say the same for Spy Sweeper.
Webroot's product doesn't deliver everything for free... that's the only "drawback" of this amazing antispyware application!
Just get this program's free trial version, check it out for yourselves and I’m sure you'll be able to confirm our conclusion - Spy Sweeper is worth at least two times its price!
