RegCure scans your computer, reports and fixes critical erros and tweaks your pc for better performance.
Are you sure your Windows is clean? Well, the CD or DVD may be clean inside its case, but there’s a big chance the operating system running on your computer has a certain number of errors and some junk files. Depending on what you do and how you're using it, the number of errors and amount of garbage can increase a lot, but today we have another software solution for this problem...
Interface
Without any doubt, I must tell you that RegCure looks good. Usually, it's not really fair to compare freeware with commercial products, but since we already talked about CCleaner, I can say that when it comes to the interface part, RegCure is a real eye candy and easier to use then its free competitor.
Features
Once you have downloaded the setup package and installed the application, all you have to do is press the Scan button. This process can last a while, but you should be aware that a lot of items are checked, including uninstall entries, fonts, shared DLLs, help files information and, of course, the system registry.
As usual, with this kind of programs, you should be careful what you're cleaning, and inspecting the results manually before doing this is really easy to do. The bad part is that you won't be able to clean everything when using the trial version, because this is only capable of cleaning errors located in the Font Entries and File Associations areas.
Apart from scanning and repairing errors manually, you can schedule the program to perform these operations automatically. Even more, you can choose to ignore certain items usually recognized as errors.
The Settings area is as that rich as expected, but enables you to do exactly the things you need, like creating restore points each time you clean errors or repairing them automatically.
At last, you should know that RegCure comes with a built in Startup Manager that help you manage all your startup items in one place, while the traditional approach required to edit your registry and also run the tool built for this purpose that comes with Windows.
Now, let's check the conclusions and see if RegCure is really worth your money or not...
The Good
RegCure looks great, works fine and has a fair price, while the Startup Manager included ads an extra value item to the feature list.
The Bad
As it usually happens with similar commercial products, the trial version is limited and some additional tools won't hurt, like a disk cleaner/wiping module.
Conclusion
If you think your Windows Vista computer is sick, the cure may be two mouse clicks away, and its name is not hard to forget - RegCure. There are a lot of commercial products that deserve their price and even more that don't, but fortunately today's subject falls in the first category. Of course, you shouldn't make a purchase without giving it a try first, so hurry up and get it downloaded and installed at once!
